Latest Fashion, Makeup and Hair Beauty Tips

beauty tipsI am a firm believer that we are all unique individuals, blessed with the creators touch.  I am also of the conviction that it's not always what you were born with but it's what you do with it.  This week we focus on ways to flatter your shape.

Height Challenged?

Stay clear of Baggy clothing, dresses that fall between the knee and ankle, or cropped pants.  Instead choose well proportioned clothing, Dresses above the knee and pants whose hems fall to the ground.  Above all - try to wear heels 2inches or more to give the illusion of long legs.

Wide Hips?

Stay clear of pleated pants, clingy fabric or blouses that stop at the widest part of your hips.  Instead wear flat front wide leg pants, tailored jackets and Pencil skirts.

Big Stomach?

Stay clear of Low-rise Jeans, tube dresses, cropped tops and dresses cut on the bias.  Instead wear monochromatic clothing, empire tops, sheath dresses and single-breasted jackets or coats.

Fashion Term of the Week - FTW

Bias Cut Dresses - These are dresses that are cut diagonally.  Because they are cut diagonally, they tend to cling to a woman's body more than a regularly cut dress.
